The photo was signed in 1953 to Joan who was a dancer in the movie 'Gentlemen
Prefer Blonds' with Marilyn Monroe. Photo comes with provenance stated below;

Joan was one of the 8 woman dancers in the famous musical/dance scene
"Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend"   from the movie "Gentlemen Prefer Blonds"

 Along with this 8" by 10" photo I had Joan write a letter in her own hand and
on her own letterhead explaining how she came to have this photo. Basically
she asked Marilyn Monroe for a signed photo and received it directly from her.
I also have another 8" by 10" b/w photo (not the original) of the actual dance
scene (Marilyn surrounded by the male and female dancers on stage during the
actual number). On reverse Joan writes in her own hand where she is in the
photo and descibes who else is in the scene. There is another group photo (b/w
laser copy of original) that Joan sent me which is a scene of Marilyn
surrounded by the 8 girls. Again Joan describes the scene in detail on
reverse. Joan was from a fairly famous dance family and her mother danced with
Anna Pavlova in the 1920's

This photo has been authenticated by Christie's Auction House
as well as many of the top US Autograph Dealers
